A warm welcome at the Gasthof Alpl by Family Meilinger, our Alm lies on the border of the Nockberge National Park in Carinthia at a altitute of 1580 meters right at the skiing and hiking area of the Hochrindl.

The beautiful lakes of Carinthia are at short distance. During the winter, Gasthof Alpl is a lively centre for skiing for the whole family, with pistes right outside oour door.
In the summertime there are over 200 kilometres of riding and hiking routes for you to enjoy the beautiful nature and impressive scenery.

Already as a joung man was I drawn to dicover the world wit hits different cultures and people, thats why I choose to become a chef, after my aprenice years in my home town I left for Vienna to hone my skills at the Hilton, from there I went to work at the World Trade Center, to fulfill my dream I choined the Sagafjord and sailed onc around the globe. Asia was so misterious the I needed to come back and took the first oportunity to wark at the Shanghai Hilton, after twobeautifull yars I went to Honkong, Bali and Back tot he US. In 1994 I returnet to Japan and finally in Seoul. There I met my wunderfull wife Youngji and together we opened our own rstaurant and butchery.
Finally the circle closes and we found this beautifull house in the Austrian muntains. We Young Ji and Christian look forward to welcome you in our House.
